Surplus boards and planks
Boards and planks are the most listed wood on Greyn. Contractors and joiners sell sawn boards, deals and planks that were ordered for a job and never used, as well as reclaimed boards from renovation and demolition work.
About this material
Listings usually give the thickness, width and length, the number of pieces or the volume, and the wood species when it is known, such as spruce, pine or oak. Check whether the boards are planed or rough-sawn and whether they were stored dry, because that decides what they are suitable for: formwork and temporary works, cladding and battens, or visible joinery. Lengths in one lot are often mixed, so check whether the listing gives a single size or a range before you plan your cuts.
Surplus boards from an unused delivery are usually straight and clean. Reclaimed planks have character and history, but may need sorting, de-nailing or planing before you can use them. The photos and the listing type show which of the two you are dealing with, and the chat is the quickest way to ask about moisture, grading or the exact number of lengths.
Payment runs through Greyn and is only released to the seller after you confirm collection. You arrange the pickup directly with the seller, in the municipality shown on the listing.
